Alone at the head of my estate, I mobilize myself daily in my vineyards. I cultivate 4 hectares of vines on the most prestigious terroirs of Burgundy. I carefully adjust the balance between natural agriculture and scientific approaches.

My commitment, my philosophy and my passion led me to Organic Farming.

Thanks to my professional experience and my background, I explore, study, experiment, constantly question myself, vintage after vintage.

Touching the ground, examining the branches, winemaking, tasting, bottling… From farming to winemaking, each step requires total involvement. I give myself every day to produce the best wines for each vintage while improving the well-being of the plants as much as possible.

Leaving my mark, marking my commitment, to fully spread through my wines with my personality, this is what I aspire to.

The history
of the Estate

The vineyard comes from family lands worked for 3 generations. The first vines were acquired in the 1930s by my grandparents, Roger and Louise CHEVALLIER. My father, Maurice CHEVALLIER continued this work as a winegrower from the 1960s until his retirement in 2008.

On this date, little prepared for the job but resigned to not losing this family know-how, my sister Eloïse (school teacher) and me Benoit (computer engineer), took over part of the estate as a second activity. For 10 years, we produced wines on less than one hectare and acquired the precision necessary to vinify micro cuvées.

At the end of 2018, the family land rented at 90% for 10 years returned to the family. It was then that I decided to devote myself fully to this profession of passion by taking over all the family land.

Domaine Benoit CHEVALLIER was born through the 2019 vintage.
